In some semesters, we offer a 5 day "choose your schedule option"!! During those semesters, you will be required to attend at least 3 days of the 5 day week. If the session is only a 3 day session, then you are required to attend all three days of the session. Each day will have a schedule that includes setting your daily writing goals, mini-lessons on writing, citing sources, motivation, etc.

Thesis Boot Camp is designed to help late-stage doctoral researchers with the tools, time, space, motivation and confidence to make significant progress on your thesis draft and maintain momentum in your writing after the event.

It also helps recognise and address the social, emotional, intellectual and practical issues that impact on the final stages of your doctoral journey. Latecomer policy Researchers should plan to arrive prior to the advertised course start time. Except for exceptional reasons, there will be no admittance to a Graduate School or Faculty Training Programme FTP course 15 minutes after the advertised course start time.

Importance of booking commitment When booking on to a Graduate School short course you are entering into a commitment to attend.

This will ensure that your place can be offered to another researcher on the waiting list. Failure to cancel a place results in other researchers missing out on places through the waiting list process. It is unacceptable for researchers to just not attend when booked onto a course.

The Graduate School maintains records of those who repeatedly do not attend courses they have booked. This may affect future eligibility to book onto further Graduate School courses and will affect considerations for Graduate School funded opportunities.The Dissertation Boot Camp is a free program that gives graduate students a chance to make serious progress on a dissertation, master’s thesis, or other graduate writing project.

Thesis Boot Camp is traditionally an intensive writing program for graduate students. However, this type of writing intensive can be tailored to any kind of writing project. Traditionally, a Thesis Boot Camp is completed in the last few months before a thesis or dissertation is due for graduate students to push themselves into finishing.

I would like to participate in Thesis Boot Camp, which I acknowledge is an intensive and dedicated writing environment. I agree to attend all sessions of the program. I agree to complete prescribed preparatory tasks in order to gain the most benefit from Thesis Boot Camp.

In addition, your boot camp instructors will be able to provide one-on-one writing consultations. On top of that, we'll provide all the food and coffee you'll need to create the best contributions to your dissertation or thesis possible!
